I was inspired by my friend over at Twirly Skirts and her photos of a recent trip to France. Traveling and Fashion can be hard at times because you need comfort and usability (which don’t always equal fashion). I found a couple items that I adore and would love to take one a trip to France….if anyone wants to take me!
I traveled to Italy while I was in College, Poor, Young, Sick, and Hungry. I remember thinking at times, I am missing it…..due to lack of well…Food and maybe too much wine. But then I see images like this, which remind me of Cinque Terre, and I am taken back to that magical time when life felt simple and slow. Everything was better, the food had more flavor than anything I had ever tasted, the life style was more relaxed and yet more lived (in Cinque Terre, locals would sit out all night enjoying life and the company of neighbors without worries of early morning commutes or deadlines), and the people were magically beautiful! An old man who only spoke Italian (which I spoke absolutely ZERO of) sat and had dinner with me one night, chatting and smiling as if I had any idea of what he was saying; simple and special. I am thankful for the time I traveled and now more than every want to go back!
Austin was an absolute blast.
We slept in, played in the sun, swam, drank way too much, eat way to may tacos and just enjoyed Austin. Here are some of the pictures from the trip:
Our trip started with me trying to navigate our map in our oh so compact car.
Our first of many trail park eateries!
What else comes from a 1950 travel trailer then a….Beef Brisket Crepe! Yummy
The shopping on Congress Ave was amazing. Specialty boutiques galore!
This guy needs a drink (my hubby….isn’t he cute!)
Caffeine Dealer…those Texans are clever!
While in Austin, Chips and Salsa became my main source of food…..can you blame me?
Trailer Park Eatery…need I say more?!?!
Decor at the Trailer Park Eatery
Bri and I at the Park Lane Guest House
Being the big football fans that we are…(well that Brian is…) we (well Brian…) wanted to go see the University of Texas stadium. (Have I said how cute my husband is?)
Hamilton Pool– Think waterfalls and caves and Beautiful trails to the river!
Lastly, my favorite part of our trip…the drive through beer stop….Only in Texas right?
XOXOX – Love you always Austin!
I am Back!
I had such an amazing trip to Austin. I will try to get my pictures up as soon as possible. I wanted to give a big thanks to Twirly Skirts for the guest blogging appearance. Isn’t her blog great!
I am going to Austin!!!
Although that song is sad….I am not at all (I am just a sucker for Breakfast at Tiffany’s and needed a way to fit it in). I have been waiting (way to long) to spend a little quality time with the hubby just enjoying the sun and relaxing. No tears…I have a guest blogger that will post while I am gone, so stay tuned and Enjoy!
To give you a little insight as to why I want to go to Austin (other than the live music and real life cowboys)
Here is Seattle today…..
Here is what I have to look forward to in Austin….
Pictures to come when I get back!
